System Software

System software allows user applications to interface hardware. Its main function is to manage:

  • RAM
  • processors
  • network equipment
  • other computer components

The operating system is built of basic system programs. The applications that protect the system, test, configure, diagnose and launch auxiliary processes are additional system programs. However, they are also impossible for any user to do without.

The choice of system utilities mainly depends on the operating system installed on the computer. In turn, the choice of platform is influenced by a large number of factors: the purpose of the computer (workstation or server), the number of users, the network architecture, the scale of the organization and many other features. The operating systems of the Windows family have gained the most popularity, both among organizations and home users. Microsoft Windows OS is a platform that requires minimal configuration, i.e. almost ready to work on the computers of corporate, academic and home users.

If the user’s tasks require an individual approach, they need Linux distributions that allow them to design their own operating system. Supporting system programs are installed on the Linux operating system for implementation on machines with non-standard architecture and increased requirements for operating time and safety.

To develop security technologies (fonts and certificates) and prevent unauthorized access to data, IT specialists require additional system programs - Microsoft and ScriotLogic. To detect and eliminate problems associated with physical equipment, drivers and virtual IT infrastructure, system diagnostic programs from leading developers are used: O&O, ProLAN, Veeam, Uniblue.

These solutions plus software for setting up the system, adjusting and integrating its components allow you to achieve high speed, performance, stability of user and system programs, and IT infrastructure as a whole.
